The people behind your placement
Two clinical directors check every preceptor before you see a name. Four coordinators handle everything after that.
Meet the team
Dr. Margaret H., DNP, FNP-C
Checks every nurse practitioner preceptor against your school's handbook before you see a name: license, specialty and the patients they see.
Dr. Samuel R., PhD, LCSW
Handles social work, counseling and psychology placements, including whether telehealth hours will count for your program and your state board.
Caroline B., MSN, RN
Your first contact. Knows which preceptors near you have worked with your school before, and keeps your placement moving week to week.
Nathan P.
Prepares the affiliation agreement and preceptor paperwork on your school's own forms and follows them through to signature.
Olivia S.
Collects your background check, immunizations and certifications, and makes sure none of them expire before your last day.
Grant W.
Sends your Friday update: hours logged, evaluations due and what comes next, until your final evaluation is signed.
How we check a preceptor
Before we suggest anyone, a clinical director checks four things against your school's handbook. Does the preceptor hold the license your program asks for, in your state? Do they see enough patients in the population your course requires? Is their setting one your syllabus accepts? Can they supervise you the way your program and your state board require?
A preceptor who misses any one of those is not offered. Once you pick from the shortlist, our coordinators send the agreement to your school, collect your clearances and send you a Friday update until your final evaluation is signed.
